Perfect Fit blinds are a great option for covering the windows in many homes, however, there are times where no matter what you do they get damaged somehow. There are many ways that blinds can get damaged. In this article, we are going to go over how you can repair your blinds when they break.

Ways that Perfect Fit Blinds Get Damaged & How to Repair Them

Broken Slats

It’s really an unfortunate situation when your perfect Fits get a broken slat. The good news is that you probably don’t have to get a whole new set of blinds.

First, you’ll want to remove the caps from the bottom of the blind, then slide out the broken slat. You can now slide in the new slat and secure it. This should do the trick.

Tension is Wrong

Some blinds, especially rollers use tension to operate. If the tension isn’t correct then there can be major issues with how the blinds operate. They might not stay up when you want them to, or they might be too hard to pull down.

If you want to tighten the tension of the blinds you can first remove it from the Perfect Fit frame. Then you want to roll the blind material back up and put it back in the frame. You can repeat this as much as you need to get the desired result.

If you want to loosen the blind, on the other hand, the steps are a bit different. First, you want to take the blind out of the Perfect Fit frame and unroll it until it’s at the halfway closed point. Then you can put it back in the frame and try the tension. If it’s good then you’re done, if not you can repeat this to get it how you want.

Slats won’t Rotate

If the slats on your Perfect Fit Venetians won’t rotate properly then it’s a fairly easy fix. There is a rod that has come loose from the headrail. You simply want to reconnect this rod and it should work again.

Broken Brake

If the brake is broken on your Perfect Fit blinds you need to remove them from the frame and install a new one.

Not Blocking Out the Light

If you got a blackout blind in the Perfect Fit Frame and there is lots of light bleed, this is probably due to them not being fitted correctly. You’ll probably want to get a professional to fit them for you as they have the expertise to do this properly.
